1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Envello ("the Service") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of service
Envello is a productivity and creative writing workspace available on macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, Android, and the web. Features include task management, journaling, novel writing, bookmarks, encrypted vault, and AI-powered writing assistance.
3. User accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@envello.app of any unauthorised use.
4. Data ownership
You retain full ownership of all content you create with Envello. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your data. Data stored locally never leaves your device without your explicit consent.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to violate any laws, infringe on intellectual property rights, distribute malware, or engage in any activity that disrupts or harms the Service or other users.
6. AI features
AI-generated content is provided as-is. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI output before relying on it. Envello is not liable for errors or omissions in AI-generated content.
7. Subscription and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods except where required by law.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these terms. You may cancel your account at any time. Upon termination, you may export your data before account closure.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Envello's liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in San Francisco, CA.
11. Changes to terms
We may update these terms periodically. We will notify you via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
